IWSC 2026 Wins

IWSC 2026 Wins

We’ve got some news we’re very proud of. Both of our rums have been recognised at the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition, one of the most respected awards in the global drinks industry.

Crossfire Hurricane Gold — Gold (96 points)
Crossfire Hurricane Reserve — Silver (92 points)

In our first year of launching Crossfire Hurricane, this is quite the accolade.
The IWSC has been the benchmark for quality since 1969. Every entry is judged blind by a panel of more than 110 of the industry’s most respected palates including international buyers, master distillers and sommeliers. Uniquely, every medal-winning spirit is then sent for independent lab testing before the results are agreed. This year more than 4,000 spirits from close to 100 countries were entered, and only the very best walk away with an accolade. A Gold is reserved for spirits the judges consider exceptional in quality, craftsmanship and character, so to be awarded both a Gold and a Silver in the same year is no small feat.

Crossfire Hurricane is a blend, and proudly so. It’s the first brand to bring together rums from four of Jamaica’s most storied distilleries, Hampden Estate, Long Pond, Worthy Park and Clarendon, into a single liquid.

Hampden Estate brings the wild, high-ester funk and vibrant tropical fruit it’s famous for.
Long Pond adds layered, aromatic richness.
Worthy Park lends elegance and structure, knitting the blend together.
Clarendon grounds the whole thing with body, weight and warmth.

Crossfire Hurricane is a rare, 100% Jamaican blend.  Pot still and column still, different fermentations, no added sugar, ever and in keeping with Jamaica’s geographical indication standards.  Here’s what the IWSC esteemed judges say about our liquids:

Crossfire Hurricane Gold — Gold, 96 points
“Vibrant pineapple and grapefruit, underpinned by subtle oak seamlessly woven throughout. The mouth-filling palate reveals luscious caramelized red berries, rich chocolate, and nuances of liquorice, balanced by ripe fruit notes. It closes with a lively edge.”

Crossfire Hurricane Reserve — Silver, 92 points
“Honeycomb and toffee aromas with a palate featuring sweet, dried dates and sultanas, unfolding into warm caramel and milk chocolate. The finish offers a gripping hint of baking spice.”

A word from Cairbry Hill, our co-maker
“It’s fantastic to see Crossfire Hurricane recognised on a stage as demanding as the IWSC. These are rums made with real character and care, and to land both a Gold and a Silver in the same year is a huge achievement. Cheers to the team — thoroughly deserved.”

A medal like this is a verdict on all of the work that happens before the bottle reaches you: the sourcing, the blending, the obsessing over balance, the refusal to cut corners or add sugar to round off the edges. It’s a real testament to the care that goes into every bottle, and we couldn’t be prouder of the team behind it.

Thank you, as always, for being part of the journey.
